TORONTO, Ontario, September 17, 2002 - Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield, an independent licensee of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association and the largest health insurance company in the state of Arkansas, has selected software from Xenos (TSE: XNS), the data to e-content companyT, to provide electronic document viewing for their employees.
Xenos d2e Platform software has been selected because of its flexibility, ease of use and quick time to market. Xenos d2e software is used to transform Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield's printed statements into electronic formats. The statements are transformed into Adobe PDF format and stored on a FileNET image repository. Internal staff and external staff will have immediate access to these statements from the Internet.
"Right now we have a real problem viewing AFP print within our Enterprise. By converting AFP to standard PDF documents, we feel like this will help us serve our customers, both internal and external, better and more efficiently." said Hal Norman, Manager of Web Development.
"We are pleased to have Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield as our customer," said Jim Farmer, President and COO of Xenos. "Health Insurers are looking for ways to improve the productivity of their staff and our d2e software significantly reduces the time spent waiting for statements."
