Xenos introduces new Vision™ software to expand global market opportunities

New "d2e Vision" builds on success of Xenos' leading transformation software

TORONTO, Ontario, January 8, 2003: : Xenos (TSX: XNS), the data to e-content company™, today announced the release of Xenos d2e Vision™ 1.0, its next-generation software product line.

The innovative d2e Vision software product is the culmination of two years of research and development, drawing on Xenos' many years of customer success with its d2e Platform™ software. Developed with Java technologies, the d2e Vision product is designed to be the most efficient and flexible solution available today for creating online documents from print data for applications such as dynamic electronic statement presentment on the web, or for high-volume print stream transformation.

The new d2e Vision product offers powerful multi-processing capabilities, enabling many production processes to be run at the same time. Its component-based architecture makes it easier to integrate and configure, and it offers the most flexibility in the industry since it is available on all of the major computing platforms. The modular design also enables Xenos to execute its customer-focused product development strategy by rapidly implementing new features and components as needed.

d2e Vision extends Xenos' reach into new global markets and offers more opportunities for partnerships and integration with other solutions such as archiving, document distribution or e-business applications. For example, full double-byte language support is now available, enabling Xenos to penetrate the largely untapped market opportunities in the Asia/Pacific region.

The new Xenos d2e Vision product line introduces many innovative capabilities. Written in Java and with its flexible component-based architecture, the d2e Vision Engine™ module and its suite of component features anticipates significant growth in our global customer base and their needs for such a robust, modular, cross-platform enterprise solution. The d2e Vision Developer Studio™ module is a new, feature-rich, Windows graphical user interface. It is available now on Windows NT/2000/XP, AIX, HP-UX, Linux, Solaris and IBM z/OS (under Unix Systems Services).
