Xenos terminalONE Small Business Edition™ Transforms 1GB XML Data Into Single CSV File in 180 Seconds
United Kingdom, 7 November 2006 - Xenos Group Inc. (TSX: XNS), a leading provider of solutions that capture, transform, transport and present data and electronic documents, today announced that Carat has selected the Xenos terminalONE Small Business Edition software product. The independent global media agency network is using the Xenos technology to rapidly transform XML data received from Google into usable CSV files for statistical analysis.
Each week London-based Carat receives a data file from Google containing highly valuable information regarding the hit-rates and click-throughs its clients have achieved on the website. This 1GB file is presented to Carat in XML format; however Carat wanted to have this data in a more readable CSV format and be able to load it into its internal statistical analysis software from SAS .
Using the visual mapping capabilities of Xenos terminalONE Small Business Edition, Xenos demonstrated to Carat that it could transform Google’s XML data into a single usable CSV file in just over 180 seconds. Head of Data Planning at Carat, James Northway explains, “Xenos has enabled us to access and analyse the Google data much faster. Prior to using the Xenos t erminalONE Small Business Edition it could take up to a week to complete the process. Now we are able to run the transformation and start analysing our clients’ data in minutes, ensuring they receive the best service possible.”
Jeff Mills , Managing Director of Xenos Europe, comments, “Xenos terminalONE Small Business Edition is a highly cost-efficient software option for companies such as Carat, who need to transform relatively low or infrequent volumes of data into usable information quickly.”
The Xenos product suite comprises d2e™, a high volume document stream transform server, implemented with many leading ECM archives including Oracle, IBM, FileNET and Systemware among others, infoWEB™, a portal plugin for report delivery and e-statement presentment of archived information assets and terminalONE™, a data interchange server that enables straight through processing into legacy environments.
