Xenos Announces Membership in PDF/A Competence Centre

Extends Leading Position With Document Repurposing Solutions Supporting Transformation to PDF/A Format

TORONTO, Ontario, July 25, 2007 —Xenos Group Inc. (TSX: XNS) announced its membership in the PDF/A Competence Centre, an international alliance of software vendors and customers who support the ISO 19001-5 PDF/A standard. This standard enables organizations to store PDF files guaranteeing that they will be viewable indefinitely.

Xenos was an early adopter supporting this important emerging standard with the release, in September 2006, of the PDF/A generator in version 2.5 of its Xenos d2e Vision product. The Xenos d2e™ product line parses document print streams, images and PDF files and transforms them into other print, image and electronic formats. Many of the world’s largest organizations currently use Xenos d2e solutions to transform and repurpose their documents to PDF, print streams, images and HTML formats for online document presentment and archiving, as well as XML for business applications.

“We listened carefully to our early adopter customers in France and elsewhere in Europe who required the ability to archive their documents in the PDF/A format. Now many organizations in North America are beginning to adopt PDF/A as their de-facto standard long term archiving format. This is especially critical for our customers to meet stringent regulatory compliance and legal obligations to their customers, staff and partners”, explained Jeff Williams, Product Manager, Xenos.

“Xenos is continuing its innovative market leadership in enabling the worldwide adoption of PDF/A. Through the PDF/A Competence center, we will extend our partnership with other organizations supporting the development of this standard”, said Graham Barker, Chief Marketing Officer, Xenos.
