Xenos And PISCES Renew Partnership For 2007
Managing Director EMEA Jeff Mills To Address Data Standards Adoption In Real Estate At PISCES Members’ Conference, 3rd – 4th May, 2007
United Kingdom, 16th April 2007 —Xenos Group Inc. (TSX: XNS), today announced that it is reinforcing its commitment to efficient electronic data exchange in the commercial property market, by renewing its partnership with PISCES. Jeff Mills, Managing Director of Xenos Europe, will be continuing the push for data standards adoption by addressing the issues at the PISCES Member’s Conference 2007 in Watford, UK.
PISCES alongside its international consortium OSCRE (Open Standards Consortium for Real Estate) is a non-profit organisation responsible for developing standards for the real estate market, in particular the PISCES standard for data exchange. In its first year partnering with PISCES, Xenos gained recognition for its work on standards adoption and how businesses can interoperate cost-effectively at the Members’ Conference 2006. In 2007, Xenos will be playing a major part in the PISCES pilot workgroup for electronic delivery of lease documents. Jeff Mills will be outlining Xenos’ role in the workgroup as well as further addressing standards adoption at the Members’ Conference 2007.
“Xenos has extended its partnership with PISCES because we recognised that there are significant changes occurring in the commercial property market, with an underlying drive towards standards based exchange of electronic data for property transactions,” says Mills. “It has been traditionally conservative in its approach to interoperability with much of the paperwork around sale, lease and exchange of property being just that – paperwork.”
With PISCES being the forefront organisation for driving data exchange standards and Xenos’ experience in the area and the technology, it is expected that the extended partnership will bring forward practical solutions for PISCES members and users. The Xenos terminalONE™ suite of data interchange and system interoperability products are of significant benefit to those operating in the real estate and commercial property market, by making it easy to adopt and use the PISCES standard between agencies and partners.
Mills adds, “Adoption is still the market’s biggest challenge and it needs to be shown practical and straight forward methods of applying the PISCES standard, within the context of the businesses’ own operations.”
The PISCES Member’s Conference takes place from 3rd to 4th May 2007 at The Grove, Watford, UK. For further information about Xenos or to schedule a briefing at the conference please contact xenospr@mccint.com. For further information about becoming a PISCES member, please visit
