Our client is a global financial services company that provides asset and wealth management, and investment and banking products and services. As one of the largest financial services providers in the United States with offices around the world, they made a large investment in technology to support how they manage their business critical content: Web applications, Archive Systems, Print and Mail services, and eDelivery systems. They recognized an opportunity to generate revenue by offering their excess capacity to the 3rd Party Market.
The problem is how you accommodate the 3rd party market requirements when you no longer have control of the content. The information processes within our client's infrastructure were strict, segregated, and inflexible. To enable customers to use the services, they would need to modify their content to fit an inflexible process model, making it difficult for the client to be competitive in the 3rd party market.
Our client engaged Xenos Consulting Practice to help modify their existing information processes to better leverage current technologies, and create new and vastly improved processes. The model Xenos created was a central repurposing engine allowing the client to receive multiple document formats and transform them for multiple distribution channels. It had built-in flexibility and control without any drastic changes to their current infrastructure.
Our client's alternative was to engage their internal IT staff to solve their issues. When they did this, the internal costs were very high, and all segregation of internal groups rendered a single scalable and adaptable system difficult. The solutions presented internally were tactical point solutions.
Xenos Consulting Practice was able to bring a cost-effective, strategic solution that positions our client as competitive in the 3rd party market, and allows their internal processes to change and grow as their business requires
