Xenos Metacode to AFP

The Xenos Metacode to AFP feature of the Xenos d2e Vision product accurately transforms Xerox LCDS and Metacode print streams to IBM AFP print streams. This transformation is done with no changes required to the applications that generate the Xerox Metacode documents.

The Xenos Metacode to AFP feature parses Xerox Metacode and Line Conditioned Data Streams (LCDS) sometimes referred to as DJDE (Dynamic Job Descriptor Entry) print streams. Line data and mixed mode files that print on Xerox centralized printers are supported, as well as pure Metacode files.

This Metacode to AFP transformation is useful for service bureaus that operate a mix of Xerox Metacode and IBM AFP printers. Print loads can be balanced among Xerox and IBM printers rapidly and on an ad hoc basis. The Xenos Metacode to AFP transform engine delivers high-performance results so service levels can be met without unnecessary delays in processing. The Metacode to AFP transformation can be invoked in real-time to route print streams to IBM AFP printers.

The Xenos Metacode to AFP feature can be useful for loading documents into Electronic Content Management systems where you have decided to use IBM AFP as the storage format.
