All Xenos products require a product key to operate. With one exception, Xenos products are not CPU dependent. All other factors being equal, upgrading your CPU or installing a new one will not affect our products. The exception: Console-Master customers in Europe run CPU dependent product keys.
First, check the documentation. Information provided in abend code and messages sections will probably help you understand the cause of the abend and enable you to resolve the problem.
Next, contact Xenos Customer Support for assistance. To expedite the process, ensure that you capture the abend code and related return codes, the name of the failing module and the registers at time of abend. Check to see if a dump is available. Determine if there have been any recent changes at the operating system level. The more information you can provide, the faster we can help you reach a solution.
This depends on what product you are running. Some products are sensitive to JES and MVS changes. Sometimes, compatibility updates must be installed or an interface module reassembled. Always check our website or contact Xenos Customer Support to ensure that you have the correct information for the version and release you are running.
Always re-assemble ARF's JES2 interface if you change your JES2 level.
You must update the JES-Master Plus HASP exit 22 to ensure this interface corresponds to the JES level of the system. Check your production tape to verify which JES levels your copy supports.
Changes to JES and MVS rarely affect Output-Master although you may want to check our website or contact Xenos Customer Support. If you use Output-Master's optional JCL keywords, your JDT zap will need to be upgraded. JDT zaps are applied to MVS program IEFJDT03 and must be checked/updated whenever MVS is upgraded. Below is a list of JDT zaps presently available. If you require a new one to be written for your system, e-mail us a DUMPT listing of IEFJDT03 and your current IBM PTF level. A new JDT zap will be written for you.
These JDT Zaps are available:
| IEFJDT03 Maintenance Level | Matching JDT Extensions | |
